TOM FORD SPRING 2015 COLOR COLLECTION

There's nothing that makes you ready for Spring quite like a new Tom Ford Beauty release. Taking inspiration from the 70's rock and roll vibes, the new Spring 2015 Color Collection plays on the beauty of contrasting light and dark, taken directly from rich colors found in nature. I quite like the intensity of the colors in this collection, as they give an edgy feel to the otherwise lighter makeup we tend to see during this time of the year.

First stop - brows. The Tom Ford Brow Sculptor in Espresso helps to define and shape the brows, which lay the framework for the eye look. The angled wax nib makes it easy to shape the brows quickly and the formula helps to keep the hairs in place without gel. What really sets this product apart is the natural result it gives thanks to the ashy brown shade that matches my hair color much more closely than many other brow products.

In my opinion, the Tom Ford Eye Color Duos are the stars of the show when it comes to this collection. There are three in total, and the two I have pictured here are Raw Jade and Ripe Plum. The Raw Jade duo includes a really feminine take on a classic forest green, and a sheer pastel jade hue, that adds intensity to the look when worn overtop the darker shade. My personal favorite, and the duo I'm wearing above is Ripe Plum, which includes a beautiful multi-chromatic deep purple, and a corresponding opalescent shade. What's great about the shadows is that they can be used wet, for a bold and intense look, or dry, for a soft and daytime-friendly look. I like that you can customize the look based on your preference, and thought that it looked particularly pretty when I used a wet eyeliner brush and the plum shade to create some definition at the lash line.

Last but certainly not least, and the products that will have all the collectors rushing to counters are the Tom Ford Nail Lacquers in Black Jade and Indigo Night. Who doesn't love a classic almost black nail color with a metallic spin? I have been wearing the metallic navy shade, Indigo Night and am a huge fan of the sophisticated take on goth nails, especially during the Spring. Of course, Tom Ford have done it again.

What do you think of the new Tom Ford collection?
